SUMMER ART CAMP
Unleash your child’s imagination this summer! The Art Bar Summer Art Camp provides children a wonderful introduction to several forms of visual art.
Our Summer Art Camp is a 6 day day long creative journey perfect for children 5 years old and above. Each day brings a new project that may include drawing, painting, printmaking, or sculpture. Our Art Camp focus on immersion in one particular medium each day so the students are always engaged and learning fun new things with their own hands!
SUMMER ART CAMP AT A GLANCE
Our week long Summer Art Camp is divided into two age groups, Younger Kids ages 5-11 and Older Kids ages 12-15.
Younger kids programs are geared towards first time creators where the topics and techniques are easier to follow and learn.
Older kids programs dives into the foundations of being a creative person, including digital arts and street art graffiti.
No prior experience required. All our subjects are extremely children friendly, and our talented artist will be guiding all the kids one step at a time to make sure there will be no child left behind.
Our Summer Art Camp is a 6 day long program, and each day is 3 hours of fun filled creative journey. Participants will be expected to create a variety of different creative works from drawing, painting, and sculpture among others.
DAILY SCHEDULE
Summer Art Camp is held at The Art Bar Studio daily from 1:00PM until 4:00PM (3 hours session). All the materials are provided in-house and there’s no need to bring anything except your creative enthusiasm.

Younger Kids 5-11 years old
DAY 1 – MONDAY
COLOR THEORY
Duration: 3 hours
Students are expected to:
- Students will manipulate physical properties of color to create color phenomena and visual effects.
- Integrate research and process to manipulate color and content through digital and/or traditional methods.
- Use appropriate terminology to critique the use of color and its impact in an image or object.
Materials:
- Projector
- Canvas
- Paint & Brush
DAY 4 – THURSDAY
TYPOGRAPHY
Duration: 3 hours
Students are expected to:
- Students will the tools and techniques of using Marker
- Students will understand the proper terminologies
- Students will develop their own tag/signature
Materials:
- Projector
- Marker
- 1×3 Plywood
- Marker and Paper
DAY 3 – WEDNESDAY
PORTRAIT PAINTING
Duration: 3 hours
Students are expected to:
- Students will understand the structure of human face.
- Students will effectively apply light and shadow.

DAY 4 – THURSDAY
TYPOGRAPHY
Duration: 3 hours
Students are expected to:
- Students will the tools and techniques of using Marker
- Students will understand the proper terminologies
- Students will develop their own tag/signature

DAY 5 – FRIDAY
PAPER MACHE DOLL MAKING
Duration: 3 hours
Students are expected to:
- Students will learn the basic concept and applications of Paper Mache
- Students will create dolls and figures using Paper Mache techniques

- Glue and Water
DAY 4 – THURSDAY
TYPOGRAPHY
Duration: 3 hours
Students are expected to:
- Students will the tools and techniques of using Marker
- Students will understand the proper terminologies
- Students will develop their own tag/signature

Older Kids 12-15 years old
DAY 1 – MONDAY

DAY 2 – TUESDAY
SMARTPHONE PHOTOGRAPHY AND EDITING
Duration: 3 hours
Students are expected to:
- Students will be exposed to a variety of digital photographic techniques
- Students will understand the relationship between lighting and the subject.
- Students will understand how to operate a camera, use of light, and edit their images digitally

- Smartphone (iOS or Android)
- Photo editting app

STREET ART CHARACTER CREATION

- Students will understand the proper terminologies
- Students will develop and create their own character

CHARCOAL PORTRAIT SKETCHING
Duration: 3 hours
Students are expected to:
- Students will learn the properties of Charcoal sticks
- Students will understand the proportions of a human face
- Students will understand the value of light and dark on a figure
Materials:
- Charcoal sticks
- 40×50 canvas
- Chinese ink
- Cups
FEES AND HOW TO JOIN
Young kids (5-11 years old) 6 days Summer Art Camp package is $300 which includes all the materials needed for the class.
Older kids (12-15 years old) 6 days Summer Art Camp package is $450 which includes all the materials needed for the class.
This price is for Summer Art Camp held at The Art Bar studios.
